A weekly series dedicated to everything from life, travel and fashion Q&A, sale finds, weekend updates, sneak peeks and more!
Before jumping into today’s post, I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who wished me a happy birthday on Tuesday. You truly helped make my 25th birthday so special, and I felt incredibly loved! YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!
A little travel, life and fashion Q&A. I want to answer them ALL.
What’s more important to you: investing on big ticket items or more smaller items that don’t cost as much?
Tough question. As a fashion blogger, it’s basically my “job” to share new and creative looks with you throughout the week. I do love we-wearing my favorite pieces, which is why I like to incorporate them into looks with my newer pieces. This is why I tend to lean towards “saving” my money for purchasing a lot of new pieces to wear on the blog. With that being said, I do think it’s important to treat yoself every once in a while and buy yourself something good (within your means, of course!). If I have my eye on a splurge item for a few weeks/months, I try to save up and justify the purchase. I’m pretty impulsive, but things usually work out in my favor;)
Here’s what I’m loving, buying and eyeing!
I mentioned finding this AMAZING top from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (worn in this post), and I wanted to make sure I mentioned it again because I absolutely love it. I’m kind of shocked that it’s still in stock…but I don’t think people know how cute it is on/in person. I haven’t really done much more shopping after my Nordstrom sale purchases. I’m loving LOFT’s dress selection right now — they always have the easiest and prettiest dresses to wear everyday!
A little recap on readers’ favorite posts from the past.
Here’s an example of why you should buy what you can at the Nordstrom Sale — I almost missed out on this cardigan…but then the fashion gods were on my side;)
Weekend plans, anyone?
GREETINGS FROM NASHVILLE!
My girlfriends and I arrived yesterday afternoon and WE ARE LOVING IT. The heat? Not so much. But we’re so excited to be here and basically eat/drink our way through Nashville. Yesterday we got our first taste of the South and went Downtown to a few bars. Let’s just say in Nashville, shots are always a double;) Our trip plans include brunch, ride through town on the Honky Tonk Express party bus, and go to a beer festival. Tomorrow morning, the lovely Olivia offered to meet up and take some photos, so I’m really excited to meet her in person!
Oh and apparently we need to eat hot chicken while we’re here. That’s a thing right?
A few of my favorite blog posts (and articles) from this week!
- Helena looks so good in this white mini dress.
- Love a good staycation! Alicia’s tips for making the most of one are on point!
- Damsel breaks down the books you should read in August (whoa, how’d August get here practically?).
- Love how open and real Leandra of Man Repeller gets in this post.
- Congrats to Julia and Anel on their beautiful baby girl, Amalia!
I hope you enjoy this Pop! Fizz! Chat! fashion Q&A series as much I enjoy writing and researching for it. If you ever have a question you’d like me to answer, feel free to shoot me an email, tweet me, send me a DM on Instagram, or ask it anonymously here!
