The Embroidered Sweater: A Spring Trend

I traveled all the way to London to find this embroidered sweater.

Okay, I didn’t actually just go to London for the embroidered sweater. But it was absolutely on my radar since I knew we were heading to Regent Street to do some shopping. FYI, my suitcase was already over 50 pounds…OOPS. I was on a mission to purchase this sweater and bring it back home with me. Since it was sold out online in the US, I didn’t know if I’d have any luck in the UK. It wasn’t at the first Zara we went to (I didn’t know there was a second one nearby). Bummer.

Allie and I hit up a few more stores (I bought Matt the cutest tie and socks) and then stumbled upon ANOTHER Zara. Naturally, we walk in and the sweater is RIGHT in front of my face. Fate. Fashion gods on my side, yet again! SWEET. I walked right up to the cashier and right out with my new embroidered sweater. I couldn’t wait to wear it, so I wore it out to dinner at Sketch!

Clearly, I am a big fan of the embroidery trend.

I think it started when I wore this embroidery dress from the end of summer ALL THE WAY through December. There’s just something so chic, yet simple, about the trend. I know, most embroidered pieces have an insane amount of detail, but I meant simple in the way that you don’t need to do much else with these types of pieces. Don’t you agree?

PS: These jeans are back in stock and I swear by them. Oh, and they’re under $100! I love how they’re high waisted and skinny at the ankle. I love how the holes are actual holes, and not shredded. (But I did buy this pair, and I’m so in love with them. You’ll see them soon.) This makes them have a more vintage and casual vibes!
