The Date Night Look

Just because Valentine’s Day is over doesn’t mean date nights are done. And I just found my new date night look: A dress with a long coat and over the knee boots!

Now that Valentine’s Day is over and done with, we can now go back to our regularly scheduled date nights. I was really never big on Valentine’s Day because I never believed that you should only do special date nights once a year. And I want to keep up with more date nights because I just found my new go-to date night look.

I know this look isn’t groundbreaking by any means, but I think a dress with a long coat is the perfect look when you want to get out there with your significant other, but also don’t want to get too dressed up. I’ve had this black dress for almost three years now and it’s probably the easiest thing to wear. EVER. It’s a cotton dress, so for winter I pair it with over the knee boots because the one thing it doesn’t pair well with is tights (good thing I really hate tights anyway).

I’m so happy I got this Topshop plaid coat (similar option/another plaid option) because it really is unlike any other outerwear piece I own. Which is always a good thing in my book! It’s definitely coming with me to London next week. I feel like long coats are just a must there, don’t you?
