It’s totally okay to wear the trendiest clothes for traveling. Right? That’s definitely a thing…for me, anyway.
THE LOOK | camel jacket (similar cardigan), cashmere turtleneck c/o, ponte pants, statement booties, leather baseball cap
Yes, a fashionable travel outfit is a must for me, but I NEVER sacrifice comfort for style. When we were leaving London, I threw this outfit together because it consisted of pieces I was currently loving.
These statement booties are definitely flashy and probably not the best choice for airport footwear. But guess what? I wore them anyway…on the flight there AND on the flight home. Because I’m in love with them. Oh and did I mention they’re THE best dupes for the Susanna booties? They’re a fraction of the cost, and there really aren’t enough differences for me to justify purchasing the $1300.
When it comes to my clothes for traveling, I always make sure I’m taking the destination in mind. Since we were heading home to 30 degree weather, I wore my cashmere sweater with a tank underneath (always as a precaution, in case the plane is hot). I threw on my baseball cap because I was on day 4 of my blowout…oops. (I mean, look at my blowout the day we got there vs. these photos.) And it’s also great to block out any lights on the plane when you’re trying to nap.
If I’m heading somewhere warmer, I still like to wear joggers and I always bring my cashmere wrap. You really never know how what it’s going to be like on the plane. Nothing is worse than being too cold or too warm!
What are YOUR best fashionable clothes for traveling? I want to know in the comments!
